This course surveys the New Covenant literature from the context of its background of the Hebrew Bible, Second Temple Judaism and the Greco Roman World.Â This understanding of the New Covenant Scriptures will be a foundation for theology and will give the participant a better understanding of how New Covenant literature forms the basis of the Messianic Jewish perspective. Additionally, participants will benefit from seeing how this biblical theology is applied in Jewish life both in Israel and in the Diaspora. In terms of content, the course focuses on interpreting the synoptic gospels in context, John, Acts, Paul, the Pauline writings and Epistles.
